I offer a compassionate, mindful, and collaborative approach to psychotherapy with individuals, couples, and groups. I will meet you where you are and will listen thoughtfully to what you bring to our work together. My style is warm and interactive, moving frequently between reflection, active clarification, and guidance to support you in understanding and navigating current challenges.
My clinical experience has included in-depth training in psychoanalytic,
object relations, and attachment-based approaches to therapy. This
means I consider the relationship between therapist and client to
be essential to the process of therapy, where it serves as a source of
understanding, learning, and, ultimately change. I also believe that
certain aspects of our experience exist out of conscious awareness, yet
impact our day-to-day experience in meaningful ways. As a result, I
believe therapy is about helping each individual or couple to become
aware of the underlying sources of the difficulties they face in ways
that allow them to achieve meaningful and lasting change. To facilitate
this process, I strive to create a respectful, nonjudgmental
environment where you feel safe to express and explore your feelings and
experiences and challenged to grow. This includes understanding the
difficulties you face, as well as recognizing and appreciating the
strengths you bring to your life, relationships, and our work together.
